A2Y Regional Chamber Events

IMPACT 2012 and Candidate Mixer - Impact is the Chamber’s annual public policy forum. It is an educational half-day that brings together an array of area community and business leaders to network and enhance their knowledge and understanding of policy issues affecting the region and state. The purpose of the event is to heighten awareness and educate area leaders on current public policy issues. The Candidate Mixer will be immediately following IMPACT.

Year Ender - Held in December this is the largest networking event of the year! The Year Ender is a great opportunity to network, enjoy great food from the Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti area, and donate non-perishable items to those in need this Holiday Season.

Get Connected! - Whether you're a new member, prospective member or current member looking to find out what's new at the Ann Arbor / Ypsilanti Regional Chamber, this orientation session will provide you with an overview of the products, programs and services currently available to members and will help you to maximize your exposure. There are also opportunities to network with other members and meet key staff members that can assist you in getting the most from your membership. Annual Golf Outing- An annual fun sell-out event where Chamber members enjoy a day of golf, food, prizes and awards!

Golf Sponsorship Descriptions

Early Edition - this monthly breakfast is a dynamic program with multiple speakers from the region presenting topics ranging from Education, Public Policy, Small Business and Large Business designed to keep members current on business and community issues.
Sponsorship: $800 Presenting Sponsor (all presenting sponsorships are sold for 2012), $500 President/Chairman's Table Sponsor, $500 Business Education Honor Roll (sold for 2012), $250 Season Pass  

Member Reception – Free and open only to Chamber members, member receptions rotate to unique locations to showcase members’ places of business and allow for casual networking and socializing. This interactive event draws approximately 75 members representing a cross section of industries.

Seminar Series - The Seminar Series is a free educational event for Chamber members. Each educational event has a different topic and speaker.

A2Y Regional Chamber Foundation Events

Foundation Gala – The Foundation Gala is the Ann Arbor / Ypsilanti Regional Chamber Foundation’s annual fundraising event to benefit community initiatives. The event includes a live and silent auction for unique and valuable items. This themed event includes sponsors, community and business leaders, live entertainment, delicious hors d’oeuvres and beverages, networking and merriment.

Leadership A2Y - Leadership A2Y will begin its 30th year in September 2012. This valuable program annually informs, educates and motivates 50 business, non-profit and government leaders through a series of monthly day-long meetings on topics from healthcare to economic development to law enforcement and justice.
Sponsorship levels: $2,000 Scholarship, $1,000 Mentor, $500 Coach

Ypsilanti P.R.I.D.E.
, People Restoring Image and Developing the Environment - Ypsilanti PRIDE is truly a community-wide event and we can all be proud of our involvement. The benefits are numerous and the activities of the day help all our businesses grow by creating an environment that is friendly and inviting. An expected 500 to 1200 volunteers from our community will be out picking up litter, painting, sweeping, cleaning, planting flowers, cleaning up the river, and giving our community an overall facelift.
 
Corporate Duck Race will begin prior to the Rubber Ducky Race at the Ypsilanti Heritage Festival with thousands of people lining the water's edge to cheer their favorite duck. All participating corporate ducks will be announced and published in our weeklynewsletter as well as on our website. The winner of the 2012 Corporate Duck Challenge will receive the conveted traveling trophy. In addition, your organization will be featured in articles about the race, on the A2Y Chamber website and in front of thousands of people at the 2012 Ypsilanti Heritage Festival. Business-Education Honor Roll - The purpose of this program is to create a better understanding and appreciation of the importance of business people working hand-in-hand with your educational community toward a better understanding of that community. This program recognizes Chamber members that have formed at least one of the following business-education partnerships: (1) release employees with pay for a minimum of 8-hours per year to volunteer in the K-12 schools and/or participate in the various school-to-work programs available. (2) host students in their company through a job shadowing or internship program. (3) contribute cash or in-kind supplies to K-12 schools.  Please see Early Edition for sponsorship information. 

E3 Award Program - The purpose of this program is to promote business and community growth and development by promoting educational programs designed to strengthen and expand the skill level and income potential of all within the Ypsilanti area. This program recognizes educational programs and/or educators in the local K-12 schools (Lincoln, Willow Run and Ypsilanti) that deserve to be emulated in other K-12 schools.
